Scores that explain the experience
What improved
behind the score?
A better total is useful. Understanding the change is more useful. Look at how quickly the main content appears, whether the layout shifts, and how much script work blocks the browser.
LCP · Loading
Does the main content appear sooner?
Compare Largest Contentful Paint to understand the load of the page’s largest visible image or text block.
CLS · Stability
Does the page stay in place?
Compare Cumulative Layout Shift for unexpected movement captured during the test.
TBT · Lab diagnostic
Is there less blocking script work?
Compare Total Blocking Time to investigate browser work during loading. It is a useful diagnostic—not an INP measurement.

Made-up lab values illustrate a strong improvement, not a customer result or guarantee. The comparison card shows Lighthouse metric scores; metric values such as these appear in the detailed audit, alongside FCP and Speed Index.
A Lighthouse score isn’t a Core Web Vitals pass.
Core Web Vitals are LCP, INP and CLS. Airlift’s report provides lab evidence; check Google’s field data for your real-user assessment. A higher lab score does not automatically mean that assessment has passed. Google’s guide to lab and field measurement
What Airlift changed
Not just “optimized.”
See what was done.
The feature breakdown connects the result to the work: which treatments were applied, what was processed, and where measured file sizes or request counts changed.
Images
See image preloading, resizing, conversion and lazy loading, with optimization counts and measured before-and-after size data.
How images get lighterUnderstand what changed in the largest part of many pages: the pictures.
CSS
See used CSS, critical CSS and stylesheet scheduling, along with CSS requests and bytes before and after.
How the first screen renders fasterCheck the styles delivered and the work done to reduce render blocking.
JavaScript
See counts for scripts delayed, minified, aggregated and deferred. Compare them with the blocking-time result.
How script loading changesConnect script treatment to browser workload, without assuming every script should be delayed.
Fonts
See which font treatments are active, including Google Fonts handling, WOFF2 conversion and subsetting.
How font files are optimizedKnow how your typography is delivered—not just whether the font feature is switched on.
Available treatments depend on the page, plan and enabled settings. A feature breakdown is not a claim that every treatment was applied or that each caused a specific score increase.
The detailed audit
What passes.
What still needs work.
Open the optimized homepage’s Lighthouse report for passing audits, remaining opportunities and diagnostics. Estimated savings help you decide what to investigate next.
A remaining third-party script or heavy asset is useful information. The report gives you more to work with than a single green score.

look like you.
Review the before-and-after homepage screenshots when a comparison is available. Check your hero, navigation, fonts and content—not just the score above them.
Before optimization
After optimization
Illustrative desktop homepage pair, not a measured visual match. Airlift can show a match percentage and diff image for eligible comparisons; a missing comparison is not a pass.
Screenshots compare appearance. They do not test checkout, submit a form or prove every interaction works. Test those flows separately.
Checking the served page
Did the optimization
actually reach the page?
Airlift checks the live homepage for its optimization markers. If the normal request is stale but a cache-busted request is optimized, it can identify an external cache problem.

Lab evidence, not a guarantee. Scores vary with the page and test conditions.
Questions about performance reports
No. The Lighthouse performance score is a lab result. Google’s real-user Core Web Vitals assessment covers LCP, INP and CLS using field data. Airlift’s report helps you investigate loading, layout stability and blocking work; it is not a real-user monitoring service or a replacement for Search Console’s assessment.
This report’s metric comparison includes LCP, CLS, FCP, Speed Index and Total Blocking Time. TBT measures blocking work during a lab page load and can help investigate responsiveness, but it is not INP. Use field data to check the responsiveness your visitors actually experience.
Airlift uses PageSpeed Insights when your account has a configured Google API key. Otherwise it runs the open-source Lighthouse audit on its own infrastructure. Lighthouse uses a mobile profile by default. Self-hosted reports can include accessibility, best practices and SEO; PageSpeed Insights-sourced reports here include performance only.
Test location, device profile, network conditions and cache state can change a lab result. Airlift runs the optimized Lighthouse test up to twice, keeps the higher-scoring report, and can stop early when the score is already high. It is not an average, and repeated tests can still vary.
No. These reports focus on the homepage. Other layouts may be optimized without receiving their own report score. Test important products, posts and landing pages separately. Lighthouse uses a mobile profile by default; the screenshot comparison uses desktop homepage captures, not a phone screenshot.
No. It compares captured appearance, not complete behavior. Test menus, forms, account flows and checkout yourself. The screenshot pair and diff are only displayed when the comparison is eligible; a missing comparison is not evidence that the page matched. Visual review does not automatically roll back changes.
The dashboard shows the latest result, not a score-history chart. There is no built-in PDF or white-label report export. Report data is available through the API for teams with their own reporting tools. Save results separately if you need a historical record.
Yes. Performance reports are included on every plan, including Free. A report shows the measured result for the homepage; it does not guarantee a particular score or a Core Web Vitals pass. See pricing for optimization and re-optimization allowances.
