Keep it in front of your domain. Airlift’s CDN serves optimized assets from its own hostname. Connect your Cloudflare zone so Airlift can send supported cache-clearing requests there too. Avoid overlapping image or script optimizations in both tools.

On a plan with CDN delivery, enable it in Airlift. Re-optimization updates the page’s asset addresses to use the CDN. Airlift handles the connection details.
Keep your domain and DNS.
Airlift supplies the CDN hostname. No nameserver changes, CNAME record or domain migration.
Keep one optimization workflow.
No second CDN account, manual file uploads or extra URL-rewriting plugin. Airlift publishes the generated files and updates their addresses.

Airlift adds a preconnect hint for the CDN and configures cross-origin delivery headers, including those required for fonts.

Airlift runs a full re-optimization to point asset addresses back to your site. The change takes processing time; it isn’t an instant switch.
Bandwidth has a clear allowance.
Review usage in your account. Airlift emails you at 80% of your allowance. At the limit, it starts the process of returning delivery to your hosting.

No. WordPress and your HTML pages stay on your hosting. Airlift’s CDN delivers eligible optimized images, CSS, JavaScript and fonts. Airlift’s page cache is a separate layer on your site, not whole-page edge caching.
No. The CDN serves the optimized files Airlift generates. Excluded files, inline CSS and JavaScript, and third-party assets that Airlift does not rewrite keep their existing delivery path. Image sizes and formats are generated during optimization, not transformed by the CDN.
The CDN can deliver optimized product photos, styles, scripts and fonts. It does not serve a shared copy of your cart, checkout or account HTML. Those requests stay with WordPress; Airlift’s page-cache rules handle the distinction between public and personal pages. Custom store behavior still needs appropriate configuration and testing.
Yes. They handle different parts of delivery: your host or Cloudflare may cache your domain’s responses, while Airlift’s CDN serves generated assets from its own hostname. Connecting your Cloudflare zone lets Airlift send supported cache-clearing requests there. Avoid applying overlapping image or script optimizations in multiple tools, and check your configuration after setup.
New eligible assets are processed and their CDN addresses added on the next optimization run. Paid plans include scheduled re-optimization. Publishing an edit, clearing the HTML cache and re-optimizing assets are separate operations; a cache purge alone does not generate a newly optimized file.
Airlift starts a full re-optimization to change asset references back to your site. Route retirement is handled separately after disabling. This is a processing workflow, not an instant switch or automatic outage failover. Your originals remain on your hosting.
Airlift emails a warning at 80% of your allowance. At the limit, it sends another notice and starts the workflow to return asset delivery to your site. A new billing cycle can start the re-enable workflow. These changes require processing; delivery does not switch instantly. You can review CDN usage in your account.
